Richmond-based Retail Group Ranked 29th Fastest Growing Company in Northern England
YOLO, an innovative retail group based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, has been ranked as the 29th fastest growing company in the north of England.
This recognition comes from the 2023 edition of “The Fastest Growing Businesses in the North of England,” sponsored by UBS. The report highlighted YOLO’s impressive 61.1% growth from 2020 to 2022. The “UK Fast Growth 50 Index” shows the impact that rapidly growing firms have on the UK’s economic landscape.
The report celebrates businesses that show innovation, enterprise, and hard work across various sectors. These include construction, financial services, and technology. YOLO’s success story is a testament to how entrepreneurship can drive regional and national prosperity, even amidst challenging times. YOLO’s journey of expansion includes a series of strategic acquisitions. Notably, the company acquired a stake in the German hammock retailer, Amazonas GmbH. This led to a significant partnership with Tesco in July 2023. Further strengthening its global presence, YOLO expanded into the US market through a seven-figure buyout. Additionally, the move into a new campus has paved the way for further team growth and development.
Scott Woodhead, CEO of YOLO, achieved finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2022 and won the prestigious “42 under 42” award in the same year. He says “it’s a honour to see YOLO in this list. This is a sign that we are on the right tracks.”
Looking ahead to 2023-2024, YOLO is set for even greater growth. The company is expanding its international operations into Europe and the US, along with the launch of its new hot tub brand, SPAAH. These plans are set to reinforce YOLO’s position as a leader in the retail sector. For more information about YOLO and its journey of growth and innovation, visit www.yolo-inc.co.uk
