Businesses are encouraged to arrive early to register and grab refreshments. Use this time to network and engage with fellow attendees. Exchange ideas, build connections, and explore potential collaborations. Please ensure you are registered and ready for a prompt 1pm start.

13:15 Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Delivered by Speak! Training & Consulting

In this session, Sophie from Speak! will explore the benefits of employing a neurodivergent workforce for your business. Sophie will advise on good practice in recruiting and hiring neurodivergent workers, including shaping job adverts, job descriptions, application processes, and interview processes. Sophie will give examples of good practice in managing neurodivergent workers, including making reasonable adjustments, management techniques, and developing talent. Legal responsibilities will also be discussed, covering the Equality Act and creating equitable policies.

About this programme

Having successfully been awarded funding from the UK Government’s Digital Growth Grant, C4DI are expanding their support of North Yorkshire businesses, through the C4DI Beta Satellite Programme.

What does the programme include?

The programme has a clear emphasis on growth within the digital sector, through ongoing connectivity, advice and guidance, including:

  • Digital readiness audits of each participating business.
  • Three digital workshops and networking events in each area.
  • Further workshops on embracing Neurodiversity within the workplace.
  • Digital Champions from within the C4DI community offering one to one support with participating businesses.
  • Access to North Yorkshire Council’s Digital Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Grant

Who is eligible for the programme?

  • Traditional businesses looking for support with digital acceleration.
  • Digital businesses looking for access to supply chains and new work opportunities.
  • Businesses must be located in the constituency area of Harrogate & Knaresbrough, or Ripon & Skipton.
