About Tom Bottomley
Tom Bottomley qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the early 1990s. Having worked in PwC’s corporate finance team in Leeds, London and Newcastle until 2001, he struck out in a venture capital backed start-up which he exited in 2004.
He has since been finance director of an insurance company for 11 years and is now a non-executive director and consultant to the boards of several Yorkshire SMEs. Tom grew up through his family’s textile business in Huddersfield and has extensive experience of managing businesses through crisis. Tom notes that, in every case, cash must be ‘item one’ on every meeting agenda.
About David Ryden
David has over 20 years in business development and turnaround with several blue chip companies spanning a range of sectors. He joined the Y&NY Growth hub in 2019 to help businesses across the region to grow and thrive. He is currently leading the COVID-19 business support response and will give an overview of the free local support available to business across our region.
