20 March Screen Tourism Workshops

20 Mar 2023

Monday 20 March, 2pm, Holiday Inn Scotch Corner

This Screen Tourism Workshop will provide businesses in North Yorkshire with skills and knowledge to take advantage of opportunities presented by the region’s presence in recent film and television projects, such as the Yorkshire Vet and All Creatures Great and Small TV series on Channel 5 TV.

North Yorkshire is an attractive proposition for film and TV locations as evidenced by the success of the Yorkshire Vet and All Creatures Great and Small TV series on Channel 5 TV.

These programmes create demand for the destination and there is an opportunity for businesses in North Yorkshire to take advantage. The benefits go far beyond visitors as the film and TV industry need other local skills and services in order to make their programmes.

This Screen Tourism Workshop will provide businesses in North Yorkshire with skills and knowledge in preparation to take advantage of this demand. It will incorporate:

  • How to prepare your venue, attraction, accommodation, destination to be ‘screen ready’
  • Understand the opportunities with film and TV companies
  • Learn how to access this high value business opportunity
  • Hear case studies of how screen tourism has benefited locations
  • Learn how to manage it as a community
  • Understand how the legacy of film and TV can benefit your business and/or destination

All delegates will receive a helpful Screen Tourism Toolkit to take away to help to put the learning into action.
