Learn more about the University of York Sustainable Business Masters scheme, the opportunities it could open up for your business, and meet the key team behind the programme to ask questions about your business’ role in the scheme.

About this event

Are you keen to bring sustainability in your business? Are there opportunities you’d like to take advantage of, but you’re short on time or expertise to explore them properly? Wanting to examine new packaging materials, or using local resources?

The York & North Yorkshire LEP are partnering with the University of York to offer businesses expert help from their Sustainable Business Masters students through an academic placement scheme, where businesses host a group of students for the duration of the project, in return for dedicated support to help them improve their operations.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the scheme, how the placements work, and how it could benefit your business, helping save you money and reduce your environmental impact. You can find more information on the overall scheme here.

You don’t need to have a project in mind yet; this online event will give you a chance to meet the key project team, and ask any questions about the course and the placements. There will be short presentations from the team to explain their roles, the project requirements, and what kind of topics a placement could potentially cover.

This event will be followed up in February with an in-person meeting to go into more detail for businesses planning to apply to the scheme, on how to create a project brief, and topics that the students may be interested in exploring.
