Free in-person event: 17 November 2022, 9am – 11am at York St John University
This free event, delivered as part of York Business Festival, will explore sustainability opportunities that could help you save money and energy, and could help your hospitality business stand out to customers.
About this event
York has a world-class visitor economy, with our hotels, restaurants, and cafes proving a big draw for tourists from across the UK and abroad. However, providing visitors with the experiences they want can come at a high cost – both in terms of economics and carbon.
This session will explore how we can make our tourism industry more sustainable, helping resources go further, and saving you money and energy in the meantime. The workshop is ideal for accommodation providers, cafes, and restaurants, but anyone is welcome to join. Learn about opportunities for energy efficiency in your business that will help reduce your bills, how to reduce wastage and save money on your supplies, and how to market yourself as a greener option to potential customers.
Speaking at the event will be Erin Wheeler, Circular Economy Officer for the York & North Yorkshire LEP. There will also be an opportunity to network with other businesses at the event.
Please register your attendance below, and a confirmation email will be sent to the address you provide.
