New funding for skills training: find out more
Businesses are being invited to find out more about new funding opportunities for skills training.
The York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub has teamed up with the Education & Skills Funding Agency to deliver a free webinar examining what funding is available for routes into employment for young people.

Andrew Raby, York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub manager, said: “The government’s ‘plan for jobs’ has seen a wide range of additional funding opportunities announced to encourage businesses to provide new routes for young people into employment. This webinar will look at what additional funding is available in detail and answer any questions that you may have.”
The 45-minute webinar, called New Funding Opportunities for Skills Training and the Kickstart Scheme, is on Wednesday 2 September at 12.15pm. It will cover:
- what additional funding is available for apprenticeships, T Levels and traineeships
- the process involved and how these schemes could benefit your business
- what the Kickstart scheme from the Department for Work and Pensions involves and the process for offering placements
Full details and how to register can be found on the Growth Hub events page.
This webinar is delivered in partnership with Make It York and North Yorkshire County Council.
